The session brought together all categories of NMJD staff from across its Area Offices. This year’s theme for the General Staff Session is “Reflecting on the Implementation of the Second Generation and Planning the Third Generation NMJD Strategic Plan (2026-2030)”. Among the objectives of this year’s General Staff Session are:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the achievements, challenges, and lessons learned from the implementation of the 2025 Operational Plan in view of the Second Generation NMJD Strategic Plan.
- Generate specific, actionable, and innovative ideas for the Third Generation NMJD Strategic Plan.
- Design 2026 Operational Plan within the Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) Performance Accountability and Impact Report (PAIR) frame.
Giving the opening statement, NMJD Executive Director, Mr Abu A. Brima, said Annual Staff Sessions are meant to create the platform where staff can account to each other and to the communities and stakeholders they are working with in terms of their work, and how they conduct themselves throughout the year. This will help NMJD improve its work in the service of humanity.
“We have just a few days together. But these few days will help us know what we’re going to do next year, how we’re going to do it, as well as knowing how our work is going to add value towards addressing the challenges affecting our communities.
“The joy that we have each year in coming together is that we all – individually and collectively – have a purpose in life and it is that purpose that we’re pursuing,” Mr Brima said.
